Global Real Estate Fund Index Released

The Q3 2021 GREFI All Funds Index reveals strongest result in over 15 years

The GREFI All Funds Index delivered a total return of 4.31% in Q3 2021, its strongest performance since Q4 2005. US strategies outperformed other regional strategies this quarter, posting an improved total return of 7.01%. European funds also saw a quarter-on-quarter improvement in performance while both Asia Pacific and global funds showed a decline in total returns this quarter.

Non-core funds outperformed their core peers this quarter with a total return of 6.46% versus 3.91% equivalent for core funds.

The Global Real Estate Funds Index measures the net asset value performance of non-listed real estate funds on a quarterly basis. Performance is measured net of fees and other costs and represents the aggregate investor return.

The GREFI All Funds Index features 493 funds and represents a total gross asset value (GAV) of USD959.31 billion.
